“The first step toward change is awareness. The second step is acceptance.” - Nathaniel Branden
My background
My fascination and need for understanding human behavior and mental processes have led me to study psychology. My love for languages and discovering cultures inspired me to study in Japan. And so, in 2016, I graduated from Waseda University, in Tokyo, with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a specialization in Social Psychology. After working there as a Marketing and Production Manager, I realized that my passion lies in using my skills and knowledge to guide and work with people to promote their mental well-being. With this change of career in mind, I decided to come back home to Belgium and further add to my education with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at KU Leuven. My aspiration is to further develop my skill sets in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Systemic Therapy as I keep working with people from all backgrounds.

My approach
I believe that creating a safe space for self-expression is the first step of a successful therapy. In such an environment we will be exploring together to better understand how you work by gaining insight into your thoughts, feelings and behavior patterns as well as your strengths and weaknesses. Together, we decide on the focus and how to use this gained knowledge to instigate change that will allow you to pursue your goals and lead the life that you desire.
My leisure activities
In my free time, I am an avid consumer of books and movies as I love a good story. Baking is what sharpens my creativity. Hiking gives me energy, especially when I’m close to nature. I am also very socially active as I cherish my friendships.
